U2's Comeback Album

I am a music lover and I do listen to all types/genre of music. When I was browsing the net, I found an music news related to one of my favorite band U2 and I am glad when i found out that there's an album coming up. Here's the complete news from Reuters:

U2 to Release New Album in March

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Irish rockers U2 have named their new album "No Line On The Horizon," and will release it worldwide in early March, their label said on Thursday.

The quartet's 12th studio album was originally expected to be released by the end of this year, but the band announced in September that it would keep writing more tunes. Recording took place in Morocco, Dublin, New York and London.

Interscope Records will release "No Line On The Horizon" internationally on March 2, and a day later in North America.

It marks the follow-up to "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb," which was released in late 2004 and went on to sell 9 million copies worldwide, according to Interscope. It also garnered U2 their second album of the year Grammy, following 1987's "The Joshua Tree."

The new album was produced by long-time collaborators Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois, with additional production by Steve Lillywhite. Tunes recorded in 2006 with producer Rick Rubin, the man behind Johnny Cash's comeback, have been jettisoned.

Tour plans have not been announced. The "Vertigo" world tour for the last album ran from March 2005 to December 2006. U2 is partnered on touring and merchandise with concert promoter Live Nation Inc, which said earlier on Thursday that it bought back the band's stock in the company for a guaranteed $25 million -- $19 million more than the market price. Interscope is a unit of Vivendi SA's Universal Music Group.

What is Christmas?

This is the month of December. One thing that comes to our mind is the celebration of Christmas season. People are very busy buying this and that. Christmas shopping here and there. Many people seem to think that Christmas is all about buying and giving gifts to people.

But the question is, what is really the true meaning of Christmas?

Christmas seem to be irrelevant to many. It is no longer associated with Jesus the Christ, the messiah, the one who came to save the world from destroying itself. We need to remember that the real TRUE meaning of Christmas is the celebration of the Birth of Jesus Christ.

People need to stop all the commercial non sense around the Christmas season. Put a bit of God back into your lives.

How about you? What is the meaning of Christmas to you and to your life?

Oscar de La Hoya VS Manny Pacquiao

Here's a breaking news of the WINNING FIGHT of the Filipino's pride, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.

Pacquiao TKOs De la Hoya

Filipino ring hero Manny Pacquiao continued to validate his status as the world's top pound-for-pound fighter when he defied the odds in knocking out boxing icon Oscar "Golden Boy" De la Hoya in their welterweight Dream Match at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas Saturday night (Sunday in Manila).

There was no knockdown but a relentless Pacquiao gave De la Hoya all that he could handle, before the "Golden Boy" called it quits at the end of the eighth round, prompting referee Tony Weeks to declare the Filipino the winner by technical knockout.
It was only the second time in De la Hoya's 16-year pro career that he was stopped in a fight, and it was made even more shocking because it came at the hands of a fighter who fought at just 129 pounds months earlier. At the age of 35 De la Hoya seemed not only well beyond his prime, but unable to offer any answer to the punches that Pacquiao was landing almost at will.

Chocolate Lover?

Ever since i was a kid, i love eating chocolates! Even up to now.. I can still remember how i crave for those yummy chocolates before..How about you? You love chocolates too? If yes, then this article is for you!

Wikipedia's Definition:

Chocolate comprises a number of raw and processed foods that are produced from the seed of the tropical cacao tree. Native to lowland, tropical South America, cacao has been cultivated for at least three millennia in Central Amcerica and Mexico, with it's earliest documented use around 1100 BC. The majority of the Mesoamerican people made chocolate beverages, including the Maya and Aztecs, who made it into a beverage known as xocolātl, a Nahuatl word meaning "bitter water". The seeds of the cacao tree have an intense bitter taste, and must be fermented to develop the flavor. fater fermentation, the beans are dried, cleaned, and roasted, and the shell is removed to produce cacao nibs. The nibs are then ground and liquified, resulting in pure chocolate in fluid form: chocolate liquor. The liquor can be further processed into two components: cocoa solids and cocoa butter.

Here are the common types of chocolates:

Dark Chocolate - is produced by adding fat and sugar to the cacao mixture. It usually does not contain milk and has more than 35% of cocoa solids. Dark chocolate, with its high cocoa content, is a rich source of the flavonoids epicatechin and gallic acid, which are thought to possess cardioprotective properties. Dark chocolate has also been said to reduce the possibility of a heart attack when consumed regularly in small amounts.

Milk Chocolate - is chocolate with milk powder or condensed milk added. It is made similarly to dark ones but it uses less cocoa and adds milk powder or condensed milk, too.

White Chocolate - is a confection based on sugar and fat (either cocoa butter or vegetable oils) without the cocoa solids. Due to its high content of sugar, it is usually the sweetest type of chocolate.

Semi-sweet Chocolate - is often used for cooking purposes. It is a dark chocolate with a low (typically half) sugar content.

What are the Disadvantages of Chocolates:
  • It is recognized as being addictive
  • It is a calorie rich food with a high sugar and fat content
  • It has been linked to nervous tension as well as migraine headaches because it contains compounds known as vasoactive amines that can dilate brain vessels triggering headaches in susceptible individuals.
  • It has high levels of arginine which is required in the replication of the herpes virus.
  • It should be avoided by those with active or recurring herpes infections.

Chocolates has benefits as well, most especially the Dark one.

Health Benefits of Dark Chocolates (containing high in cocoa solids, 70% or more):

  • Dark chocolate with it's high cocoa content is rich source of the flavonoids epicatechin and gallic acide which contain cardio protective properties.
  • Cocoa butter contains small amount of the plant sterols sitosterol and stigmasterol, which may help inhibit the absorption of dietary cholesterol.
  • Unlike the saturated fats found in meat and dairy, the saturated fats in dark chocolate do not elevate cholesterol levels.
  • The flavonoids in chocolate prevent the excessive clumping together of blood platelets that can cause blood clots.
  • Chocolate contains significant amount of the amino acid arginine whih required in the production of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to dilate, which helps to regulate the blood flow, inflammation and blood pressure.

Sad Evening..

It is around 7:41 PM and i don't know what to do. I am just staring at the computer for couple of hours now and I don't know what to type in the keyboard. I don't feel good these past few days with all the problems that keeps bothering me. Then someone turned on the radio and the song that is currently playing reflects on what i feel at this very moment..

Tonight - Fm Static Music Code

Remember the times we spent together on those drives
We had a million questions
all about our lives and
when we got to New York

everything felt right

I wish you were here with me

I remember the days we spent together

were not enough

and it used to feel like dreamin'

except we always woke up

Never thought not having you
here now
would hurt so much

Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up

I need your loving hands to come and pick me up

And every night I miss you I can just look up
and know the stars are

holdin' you, holdin' you, holdin' you tonight

I remember the time you told me about when you were eight
And all those things you said that night that just couldn't wait

I remember the car you were last seen in
and the games we would play

All the times we spilled our coffees
and stayed out way too late

I remember the time you SAT AND told me about your Jesus

and how not to look back even if no one believes us

When it hurt so bad sometimes

not having you here...

I sing,
"Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up
I need your loving hands to come and pick me up

And every night I miss you I can just look up
and know the stars are
holdin' you, holdin' you, holdin' you tonight"

I sing,
"Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up
I need your loving hands to come and pick me up

And every night I miss you
I can just look up
and know the stars are
holdin' you, holdin' you, holdin' you tonight"

After listening to the song.. There's someone i missed so much! :( My best buddy...
