New Year's Resolution

The year 2008 is soon to end and it is the time for reminiscing all the things that we did over the last 12 months. The time where in we look back at where we’ve been and look ahead at where we want to be. Everyone is really pretty excited and is looking forward to the new year , 2009.

One of the common and popular thing to do right before/during the New Year is taking New Year's resolutions. Everyone takes resolutions that they hope to follow through the coming year.

A New Year's Resolution, is a commitment that an individual makes to a project or the reforming of a habit, often a lifestyle change that is generally interpreted as advantageous. The name comes from the fact that these commitments normally go into effect on New Year's Day and remain until fulfilled or abandoned.

Here are the Most Popular resolutions:

  • Lose weight
  • Gain weight
  • Get out of debt
  • Save money
  • Get a better job
  • Drink less alcohol
  • Quit smoking
  • Volunteer to help others
  • Be more independent
How about you? Do you have any New Year's resolution you would like to achieve and what are those?

Instead of resolutions, I made a grand "to do" list... you can check it out at www.thingsthatinspire.com! Have a great weekend!

That list is why I don't make resolutions. LOL

I set a few "guidelines for life in 2009." Resolutions always bring too much disappointment, so I was a little more lenient this year. Haha.

I'm still focused on the same things I've been targeting a few days ago (in 2008) but working on better ways to express my goals when talking, writing or thinking about them...

I never make NY resolutions as I always try to do this throughout the year on a daily basis.

I don't do New Years resolutions, but I'm moving soon. New home, new state, new neighbors, new friends ... things will change, so hopefully it will all be good!

I did end uo doing most of what I resolved to last year. So this year... I won't make any :)

My resolution is more of a goal - to save money and pay off debt.

mine is definitely to do a better job managing my household budget. i want to have money leftover in my "fun" money after each pay period.

I think I should be doing most of those resolutions above ;)

What about "more blogging" ?

*grin*

I don't make resolutions...but I do make a goals list and keep it in plain view. It feels good to be able to mark something off the list as task accomplished!

My only "resolution" is to follow my daily planner pad-- that has everything I need to do weather it be business, yoga, personal..etc. The hardest thing is to stick to it, so that is my "resolution"!

I don't like to make resolutions but rather keep working on goals to better myself. I do that all the time and do some self-reflection throughout the year.

Happy New Year!

Well this year I didn't list new years resolutions, but intend to start working out three times a week which so far I am right on track. Of course this is a change from never working out lol. Have a happy new year.

I have one resolution that I started October 30th (and am 5 lbs to go to reach). Also to make more money this year online - sole support of the family at the moment so this is critical - plus just always my goal online :)

I am not a big fan of resolutions myself. But than again it's for the best. I have a simple one, but a popular one as well (though not as popular as the "lose weight" option. I am trying to gain weight. I'm not anorexic or anything, just a bit skinny. Playing some games and not doing anything will surely help (with snacks). Awkward resolution I know, but fun one nonetheless (and an excuse to play more games

Quitting smoking is the easiest resolution to do... in fact I've done it a hundred times already.

My resolution is to get back into shape. I used to be in great shape (US Army), then I got married and well...rock bottom! <---Not my marriage, just my eating more and being lazy took over once I got out of the Army. Anyways, bought P90X and plan to stick to it for the 90 day period. Can't wait to get back into shape!

No new years resolutions I'll just try bringing all the best things in my life without any promises for doing it.
