What is Easter Sunday?

On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is typically the most well-attended Sunday service of the year for Christian churches.

Christians believe according to Scripture, that Jesus came back to life, or was raised from the dead, three days after his death on the cross.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the fundamental principles and beliefs of Christianity and a well documented historical fact.

As part of the Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion, is commemorated on Good Friday, always the Friday just before Easter. Through his death, burial and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.

Happy Easter to everyone...

I'm always surprised that Easter services have higher attendance than Christmas.

Easter means nothing to me, just a day for chocolate (but not even that these days) I do however, want my children growing up knowing why we celebrate it and not just think its a day for chocies. We arent Christan though, but it would be good to teach him stuff. lol
